Sub Genre Photo Evaluation

Worms eye/ Low angle:
Sub-genre: Spy
Reflects: The actor is unaware of the shot being taken, the fact that the photo shows mainly the back of the actor adds some of mystery and secrecy to the shot, as the audience are unable to see the action taking place in front of the actor.
WWW:
  • Clear that it is a low angle shot
  • Main focus is on the actor
  • The actor is unaware of the camera
EBI:
  • Make the sub genre more obvious, so that a real sense of mystery can be felt by the audience as they would have a small clue if the shot was from the front.
  • Make the surroundings for the scene more linked with the sub genre.
Over the shoulder:
Sub genre: Action
Reflects: Away from the camera and from the other actor, showing that she's getting further away to get to a new position quickly.
WWW:
  • Its obvious to the audience what shot it is
  • The shoulder is out of focus, meaning there is more emphasis on the actor
EBI:
  • Position the actor in a running position to make it more clear what the actors movements are
  • Have a more appropriate background for the shot=Lighting
  • Make it clear why the shot we have chosen is appropriate for the shot.
